Pet Food Recall Adds Dry Dog and Cat Food

April 19th, 2007 by jacky

If you are still feeding your pet, over the counter pet food, you need to be alerted to the latest FDA Pet Food Recall as of April 18, 2007!

First, I saw a pet adoption program on the t.v. on Monday morning, April 16, 2007, showcasing some of the prettiest pugs ever seen! They were dressed in their dog outfits and happily strutted across the room! Since our baby girl is pekinese, it is always a joy to see the pugs and pekes show off their distinctive faces! As the show went on, I saw a spokesman for Dick Van Patten’s, Natural Balance Pet foods, claim that their pet food is safe and not on the recall list! I took a breath of relief and thought that I may have found a supplement to my homemade dog food, yippee!

Needless to say, the joy was short lived, the next day, Natural Balance announced that it was “voluntarily recalling” their dry, natural dog and cat food.

The recall includes all date codes of Venison & Brown Rice Dry Dog Food and Venison & Green Pea Dry Cat Food. The company does not know the cause of the problem, but said it is focused on one particular lot. for more info, http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com.
